CVM embarks in constructing and setting up a new magnesium smelting plant (Perak Magnesium Smelter) in Kamunting Raya Industrial Estate in Taiping, Perak on a 65 acres plot of prime industrial land. This plant will produce magnesium metal with fully equipped manufacturing plant, multi-purpose office building and laboratory facilities. This plant is the first of its kind in Malaysia and South East Asia. In line with our project and to support future growth, we are looking into employment of suitable & qualified applicants who are dynamic, resourceful and capable for the following position :
Assistant Engineer
(Perak – Kamunting)
Responsibilities:
- To assist on planning the maintenance schedule on all workshops for calcinations process, pelletizing process, reducing process and other supporting machiney.
- To assist on plans and directs the activities of the Electrical & Electronic Maintenance Engineering section to ensure a high level of production including effeciencies in engineering consistent with a good engineering quality requirement of services and production.
- To take measures to avoid producing inferior quality products that resulted in wastage and air pollution.
- Ensure that adequate stocks are maintained at all times.
- Breakdown & repairs of equipments.
- Inspection of PLC system, equipment & substation.
- To assist on arrange and plan suitable maintenance and repairs schedule of machinery and equipment and at the same time not to distrupt the production schedule.
- Propose for modifications or innovations with a view to increase of the performance of the Electrical & Electronic Engineering section.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): technical drawing, Familiar with Siemens PLC S7-200 & S7-300.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kamunting.
- Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
