Contrails, or vapour trail, are visible trails of condensed water vapour made by the exhaust of aircraft engines. Two STOMPers had sent in photos of the sighting today, thinking that it was a strange cloud formation. "The cloud-like white smoke seen today was caused by a jet plane. The smoke had lingered in the sky for a while, so people who didn't hear the plane would have perceived it as being a strange cloud formation. "A few jet planes had been flying around since this afternoon, until the evening. "They were spotted in the south-west of Singapore." |

Said the STOMPer: "I saw this after lunch today. "A streak of cloud can be seen extending downwards." Another STOMPer also saw a strange trail of cloud near City Plaza along Geylang Road. It is uncertain if he had seen the same cloud sighted by STOMPer Jaimz. |
